Message I've been having a serious issue with a circuit overloading (fuel pump circuit) - the 30amp fusible link has been blowing. Seeking some assistance...

After much research and testing, it seemed the issue lied in the engine bay harness. The issue is intermittent and comes on after car is running for a while and would go away after car sat for a couple days (car would start back up as though no issues ever existed). Once the condition occurs (fusible link blows), you can shut the car off (key off), plug in another and continue blowing links. Also, unplugged fuel controller (FPC) and still blow links...same with unplugging fuel pump and sending unit. Note, also tested and swapped the fuel relay as well in process of chasing down the issue.

I recently completed the arduous task of changing BOTH engine bay harness and a (new) EFI harness in same effort over a couple weekends. Car runs seemingly fine at idle, haven't had the condition (yet), but suspect I will (explanation coming as to why)...

This past weekend, tried to hook up a trickle-charger to the car as it hasn't been run since fall and battery wasn't 100% charged from the minimal running after harness swaps. Unlike my other Z32s, this one decided not to "turn off" the connection light (which shuts off when connection is made to battery). I rechecked the unit with my other cars and it shut off as it should have. This seems to indicate that there's still something amiss in the car's electrical system...and it's hard to trust her given when condition occurs you're pretty much stuck on the side of the road waiting for a tow-truck.

...So, reaching out for anyone with past experience on this issue or ideas I may not have come across? Note - I have a spare fuel-pump and FPC at the ready to install, but am doubtful these items are the problem as the condition had previously persisted even with them unplugged.

Brief backdrop on build/config of the car: '91 TT conversion with 5-speed, RameyZ conversion & built engine, 3" exhaust (no cats) connected to MSP manis, Eagle/Wiseco, Ash e-prom/tune, no AIV/EGR, 740cc injectors/300-deg. rails...

Any help would be appreciated - thanks in advance.
